Course Objectives | This course is designed to be an introduction to international business transactions (i.e. all business transactions related to either international trade in goods and services or foreign direct investments) together with related international regulations. With this regard, the course aims to examine such topics as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and its major agreements (GATT, GATS, TRIPS, TRIMs etc.), dispute settlements under the WTO regime; unification of international trade law and institutions such as UNCITRAL and UNIDROIT; international sales law (CISG); legal systems for international transportation, payments, taxation and international commercial terms (Incoterms). |
